After a pretty long absence, I've returned, with a new layout and hopefully a new dedication to keeping this blog alive! I'm really easily distracted, unfortunately.
In apology, I bring you guys several new outfits!
This is pretty much everything I look for in a relaxing outfit: Comfy leggings, a nice warm shirt, a sweater, a cup of coffee, and some relaxing music.

A very cute and innocent look. Skinnies and flats are accented by an empire waist top; pretty silvery jewelry and shimmery eyeliner give you some sparkle.

This outfit is based a lot on layering; it's much better for fall. Leggings let you wear your favourite shorts just a little big longer, and a single tank and cardigan are glammed up with a statement necklace and some chunky bracelets.

Well, it's not cold quite yet, but I've been doing some "research" for my fall and winter shopping, and I've been inspired! Teehee.
So, in direct contrast with my last entry, I bring you a fall/winter themed set:

There are SO many things I love about this set. I love wearing skinny jeans with boots, and legwarmers (one of my favourite accessories for pretty much my whole life) look good with the high-heeled boots (on a side note, WHY does Polyvore not have any normal, plain black high-heel boots that DON'T look like crap?? Ugh). Jewel tones are great in winter in contrast to what the weather is doing; mix it up between your shirt & your accessories! Here we have a gorgeous long tank top with coordinating bangles and a plum-coloured beret. Gray accessories tone it down a little (but not too much) so you don't look like a peacock! Throw on a warm blazer when you go outside and you'll be ready for any snow storm.

So today is one of the hottest days in freakin' forever. It's about 30 degrees out, and so humid that you'd be dripping with sweat in about five minutes.
So what to wear when it's one of those days that any kind of clothing feels like too much?

This cute outfit was inspired by a woman who came into work today; I just loved it. A bikini with a wild, bright-coloured print with a matching tank top and jean shorts is an easy (and breezy) way of keeping cool. A couple touches like hoop earrings and some awesome sandals bring everything together.

Welllll today I went shopping. Kind of. I didn't get to get toooo much (thanks to bills) but I did get some. I got this awesome pair of black, 3-inch pointy toe heels from Payless for 15$. A bandana-esque scarf (purple and black) and a black faux-leather purse from Urban Planet (total of 7$). I bought a pack of 6 metallic skinny headbands, a pack of 8 elastic headbands, and another scarf from the dollar store. And I bought a pack of L'Oreal Color Pulse hair dye, and a Joe Fresh liquid eyeliner. Also, I got a haircut.
Altogether I'm pretty happy with what I got. The heels currently KILLLLLL because I haven't worn heels in forever. I'm just wearing them around the house currently to get used to wearing heels again. I lovelovelove the scarf and the purse, they're currently my favourite. The hair dye didn't really work; I got a dark brown colour, because I'm contemplating dyeing the bottom layer of my hair brown (I'd never dye it all, I ♥ my red hair) but all it did was make it a bit darker =\ So I guess Colour Pulse doesn't work on red hair! Ugh. The eyeliner from JF is probably my favourite liquid eyeliner. It's a very fine tip, so I find it a lot easier to get the look I really like; I either wear very light eyeliner, or I wear a lot and make it smudgy for a smokey look. I love my haircut, it didn't change that much; basically I got about half an inch cut off (to fix my split ends, I haven't had a hair cut in months!), some layers put in, and I got it thinned out a lot. And I got my bangs fixed. I also love the headbands, skinny headbands are my favourite cause I can wear 471207130 of them :] (I also love random huge numbers. Can you tell?)
Now, onto business!
Okay. So today instead of just posting one look, I bring you several! The idea behind these was to create several simple, pretty looks based on ten basic pieces: 2 each of shoes, shirts, pants, dresses, and sweaters. I know there's a lot more out there but as I said, they're basics. Here's the ten:

In (kindof) order: Boots, sandals, a t-shirt (ignore what's on it, I couldn't be bothered to search through a billion pages for a plain t-shirt), a pretty tank top, a mini dress, an 'edgier', more unique dress, two different washes and cuts of jeans, a longer, somewhat heavier sweater and a shorter, lighter one.
Look one:

This look mixes a bit of girliness with a bit of a rocker vibe. To me, skinny jeans just kindof scream "rock subculture" if they're worn properly. Paired with boots and a silvery bag, and balanced out with a pretty tank top and short-sleeved cardigan, they're slightly less in your face and less likely to be typified.
Look two:

This outfit is so sweet, I swear it could give you cavities! Just kidding. This is one for the girly girls: A pretty, ruffly, flowery minidress with a long, lacy cardigan and some bright-coloured sandals. Keep in mind that you could adapt this, though. If you substituted a black fitted dress and some killer heels, you've gone from cute to sex kitten in 3.5 seconds ;)
Look three:

This is a bit of a sexier look. The torn look of the dress is unique, and can be worn over tights or skinny jeans. Boots draw attention to your legs, and a pop of colour, added by accessories, is the final touch.
I'll be adding more later, be sure to check back!
So I play a lot of video games- more than the average young adult female (at least of those that I know). One of the games that I play a lot is World of Warcraft, and one of my favourite classes is the rogue. They're sneaky and stealthy and, of course, they get to wear a lot of nice form-fitting stuff! This outfit is based (albeit loosely) on rogues.

This is a really sexy look- mostly black, with pops of colour given by the lace cami and the belt. Dark, smoldering eyes are a must for this kind of thing! This could be a nice look for going out partying, if you're into the whole mysterious, glamourous thing!
Should I do this for Hallowe'en? Yay or nay?
